Strategic Planning

Strategic planning determines where your company will go in near future and also far future. It also determines how the company going to get there and how the company will know that it has reached. Strategic planning makes use of varieties of perspectives, models and approaches. All these varieties depend on the size of the company, its leadership, culture, complexities of the environment, expertise of planners etc. Take for example, the strategic planning models are goal based, issue based, organic, scenario etc.

The most common of them are goal-based planning model. It focuses on the mission of the company. Issue-based looks after the issues faced by the company. Organic-based planning articulates the vision of the company and then action plans to achieve it.

A good strategic planning process always helps the planners to ensure that all the key leaders work on the same script.
