Elder Law Attorney

My grandparents are the greatest people I know. Just recently they visited a NJ Elder Law Attorney to discuss the various legal issues involved in their estate including how it will distributed amongst the children and what other implications might occur once they have passed. I think the reason for this recent visit is over one of their sons; my uncle William. He’s been a chronic alcoholic ever since he was in his late teens and now in his 40s, he hasn’t changed a bit. He’s lost numerous jobs and constantly asks my grandparents for money.

I think this little visit to the NJ Elder Law Attorney is an attempted to keep his hands off any money in their estate by way of contest. My grandparents are quite wealthy and whilst they certainly want to leave money to their son (once they pass), there are conditions. This money must not be used to fund his alcohol problem and must be used to provide education for his kids, buy a house or invest in stock. My grandparents are hoping that by employing the services of an attorney that William will realize he can’t keep living the way he does and needs to clean up his act before it’s too late.
